This book consisted of different genres. Paranormal Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Historical Fiction, Mysteries, Romance, Suspense, and Young Adult.
I am not into Paranormal Romance so I skipped that one as I like to deal with the real world. Contemporary Fiction and Romance are more my thing. Mysteries—I’m too impatient. Suspense—My heart rate can’t handle it. Young Adult will get a pass from me.
Under Contemporary Fiction:
Stepping Into The Light by Donna Lasano: She offers inspiration to reach for your dreams which is what she did with her writing life. I did like reading her excerpt of The Merry Go Round . It left me curious.
One Fictionista’s Literary Bliss by Katherine Owen: The author tries to scare the reader referring to her writing as dark and her characters as flawed. I think she repeated on every two lines and talked about her novel Seeing Julia on every page. Her excerpt on Seeing Julia had me more annoyed than happy with the protagonist but then again I was warned that her characters were dark.
I Burned My Bra For This? One Woman’s Fantasy by Cheryl Shireman. As a baby boomer she took me down memory lane. I could identify with her. “There is no greater gift than the love of your children.” I totally agree. Excerpt from her book: Life Is But A Dream: On The Lake, Book 1 was an interesting read. It did make me want to read more to see what happened.
