Ihave decided from hence forth to take a different approach.
Since I have been on dialysis, I have always valued each and everyday I have been granted another day to enjoy this beautiful world. Instead of mourning about the parts on my body that no longer work, I will accept my gift of another brand new day and rejoice at the parts that are still working.
Like my beautiful heart which still pumps blood through my veins, gorgeous eyes that I use to feast on nature and its surrounding beauty, a mind that is still intact, pearly whites to chew with, and the ability to still do number two without it being collected in a sack on the side of my body.
I will reminisce about the happy memories the non working parts gave me and I will deposit additional happy memories into the memory banks of my mind so i can do some withdrawals when I need them.
I will utilize the five simple rules to be happy (Author unknown)
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.
